Star Wolf occupies a unique niche in the Star Fox mythos. They are not Andross's brainwashed army, nor are they government assets. They are freelance pilots who answer to no one but their own pride. Falco, the self-proclaimed top gun, built the crew around a simple philosophy: if you're going to fly, you fly so hard that everyone else looks like they're standing still. Pico, the boisterous pig, brings raw aggression and a love of close-quarters brawling to a team that otherwise favors speed and precision.

In Their Own Story

The hangar bay on Corneria's outer ring was quiet except for the hum of reactor coils. Falco ran a talon along the canopy of the Blue Falcon, checking for scuffs that weren't there. Pico was already strapped in, snorting, engine whining to life with a sound like a angry hog in a wind tunnel.

"They're going to take the credit again," Falco muttered, dropping into the cockpit. "Every single time. Andross, the Cornerian army, the whole damn galaxy—Fox gets the parade."

Pico revved. "So we fly faster."

Falco grinned, the kind of grin that meant the next three minutes would be a mess of afterburner trails and close calls. "Faster. And louder."

The bay doors shuddered open. Beyond them, the Arwings were already climbing, Fox's red craft cutting a lazy arc against the stars. Falco punched the throttle. The Blue Falcon screamed forward, blue flame trailing like a signature across the void, and somewhere in the back of his mind he heard Fox laughing. He laughed back.
